  • WOW SUMMER ALMOST HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Time around here flies sorry I have not posted in a while but with having facebook I forgot to update on here.  We have been a very busy family.  With Ashley singing and Jason flying RC Control Airplanes it is very busy here.   Ashley sings at 5 Nursing Homes once a month and have other places she is singing at.  Jason is in 5 different combat competitions with his RC planes.  He was in one in April and came in 3rd then we are going to Laurel, MD.  For one on this Sat.  Austin he just goes with the flow of everything and he likes singing and so when Ashley singing at the nursing homes he sings with her some.    Ashley's CD is out now you can buy it off her webstie at www.gracevalleyministry.com   Joy 102.5 called and wanted to do a radio interview on her new CD and about the Concert we were having.  She had a great time doing that!!!!!!!!!!   In May we held our first concert we had The Taylors from NC and Ashley and we held it up at Sam Yoders Farm.  It went really well for our first one.  I can not believe it but Jay and Rox sang 3 songs with Ashley and they did really good.  Austin just had his 7th Birthday and Jason will be 15 and Ashley will be 14 I can not believe how time flies.  Jason can not wait till he can take driver's ed.  School went good for them this year and their last day was May 22 and they were glad for summer break.  They got really good grades this year again.  We went camping over Memorial Day weekend.  We went up to Sam Yoder's Farm and camped and they had a buch of Southern Gospel Groups their and we had a good time.  One of the groups was Karen Peck and New River and Asutin loves one of her songs called HEY and on Sat. Night she called him up on Stage and Sang with her and it was cute he did a good job.  We are very busy this summer with Camps, singing school, concerts, and alot of other things.   Also we have been asked to go to VT with The Taylors in Oct. to help on a mission trip and Ashley would also be singing with them at the diiferent Church's they would be at.  It will be for a week from Oct. 26 to Nov 1.  Sor we are praying about it because it will be a long trip and it would be fun because we would be doing a vbs, working in soup kitchens, help working on houses and other things.  So I'm hoping we can go and help spead the word about GOD because only 2% of them ar Christians in VT.  and that is very low and we want to spread the word.   So please keep us in your prayers about this.  I will post some pictures so some of the things we have been doing.   Hope Everyone Has a Great Day.   Amy

    Time Has Flew By!!!

I can not believe that it is Jan. and Christmas is over and we are starting a new Year.  We have been pretty busy here and it seems like are weekends are packed.  We had the youth over for our youth meeting in Oct. and we also had a pizza party and cake for Jason's 14th Birthday while they were here.  Jason is doing well with school Keeping busy with school and flying RC airplanes other things.  Austin is doing well also with school and just being a boy.  He likes to go with his dad and Jason when they go to the air field to fly.  Ashley she is also doing well with school and keeping busy singing.  She is singing at 2 nursing homes every month and then she is singing also at the Gospel Cafe in laurel once or twice on Saturday nights.  We have been blessed with the business and keeping busy.  We had our Laurel Christmas Parade and we won First Place for Best Commerical Float (I will add a picture of  our float).  We are also youth leaders for our church and we had our youth Christmas party at James and Christy Kurtz house.  We had a big meal and a great time.  Christmas was a busy and exciting time for us this year.  We had a nice Christmas and then we picked up Leon, Mim and Rox at the airport on Friday and they stayed for a week.  Jay, Ashley and myself left Sat. Dec. 27, for NC.  Ashley recorded her first Southern Gospel CD and Dean Hoppers from The Hoppers did if for us.  We had a great time and Ashley sang for 12 hours and she did really well.  If you like she has her own website it is www.gracevalleyministry.com   and as soon as the cd's are done we will be putting on her website so people can buy them through her website. We have to go back to NC this coming up weekend for her photo shoot.  She really loves singing and she is been doing very well.  This Sat. we took the kids and Rox bowling and they had a great time.  Jay, Austin and I we did the bumper bowling cause of Austin but we had a great time.  Well I better run for now and here are some pictures for you of different things.

  • Back to School

Wow School time already.  We had a busy summer and it went by to fast.    We flew out of Baltimore Airport on July 5th and headed for Nashville, TN where we spent a week at Steve Hurst School of Music.  Ashley went their for Vocal and she had a really good time  actually we all had a great time.  We were able to sit in on her classes and that was so much fun.  And every night their was a Southern Gospel Concert.  All the teachers their were Southern Gospel Singers and Ashley got Shelly and Jessica Brown from the Browns and also Lauran Talley from the Talley Trio as her private teachers.  She really enjoyed working with them that week.  We had a great time out in TN it was a busy week with Chapel in the morning, classes and then practice and then the Concerts in the evening.  We had to be up and ready to go by 7:30 in the morning and the it was after 11:30 till we got to bed.  Any way we had a great time but the did lose Ashley's luggage on the way home which we were thankful that is was lost coming home and not going out.  We got back on Sunday and she got her luggage back on Tuesday I thought she was going to run the poor fed ex man down .  Anyway they were home for a week and then Jason and Ashley went with Jay's mom for a week over to NJ to see her cousin and they had a good time.  Jason and Ashley road see doo's all day and they had a great time over their. Then they were home a week again and then it was time for Ashley to get ready for girls camp.  She had a great week their.  Then our church had a camping weekend at Shad Landing which was nice.  We did not get to spend a lot of time their cause Ashley was ask to Open for Garment of Praise at Sam Yoders.  Then she also got to open for The Brown when they were here is August and then at the last of the concert they asked her to come up and sing Amazing Grace with them which she thought was neat.  Then it was getting ready for back to school.  So Now we are in the full swing of school and it is going good.  Jason is in 8th and Ashley is in 7th and Austin is in 1st grade.  Work is going well which we have been really blessed and we are so thankful for that.  Well I'm going to post some pictures and that is all I have for now.

    Have a great Week.

  • Busy Summer

    Hello Everyone,

It has been a busy summer for us.  In May on Memorial Day Weekend we went up to Sam Yoder's they had some southern gospel group there and we went to here The Browns.  Then June has been a full month to for us.  The only free weekend we had in June was the very first weekend.  It was nice to stay home and get alot of work done.  We had a wedding to go to on Sat. June 14 for Brent Sensenig and Ruthie Sapp.  They had a really nice wedding.  Then after the wedding we came home and picked up the kids and Went and heard Tim Lovelace, The Skyline Boy, The Hoppers, and Zane King.  It was a really nice concert at Sam Yoder's.  Then the next week we was a full week for us with getting Jason ready for boys camp, and on Sat. Night we went back up to Sam Yoders on June 21 to here Jeff and Sherri Easter and they did a really good job.  Then on Sunday was Ashley's Baptism Service and James had a very nice message and then we had fellowship meal afterwards.  On Monday Jay took Jason up to Boys camp and he had a really good time.  I also taught VBS the crafts for the 4-8 year olds and it went really well.  Then on Friday we went up to pick up Jason and Jay's sister Sherry met us their cause Jay's mom will be up in PA. for 3 weeks so Sherry came to boy's camp and met us their and they stayed for the closing program.  Then This weekend we went camping at Sam Yoders he had his tractor show this weekend and we had a great time.  On Sat. night they had the Easter Brothers and Lewis Family and then on Sunday the Easter Brothers were their and the had singing and then church service and afterward Sam had a meal for us.  Which was very nice.  And at the tractor show you could sign up to win a peddle tractor and they drew a name and the guy put the wrong phone number down and they could not get up with him so they drew another name and Jay won the peddle tractor.

Well this week is a busy week for us we are packing and getting ready to leave for Nashville, TN. on Sat.  Ashley is going to the Steve Hurst School of Music for a week and we are all going.  Everyone can not wait cause this will be the first time that the kids have ever flown and they can not wait to fly.  Ashley has class all week and also private lessons and her private lessons are with Jessica and Shelly Brown (The Browns).  She can not wait she has been counting the days down.  Also everynight each of the Southern Gospel groups that are their teaching will be giving a concert.  Also Sam Yoder has asked Ashley to open for The Browns on August 28 so she is happy about that.  She has worked really hard and we are happy for her.

Jason he is learning ventriloquism and he has been working on that really good.  We found a home program that he can do lessons here at home which make's it nice.  So I'm hoping he will keep up the good job.

Austin he keeps busy playing and swimming in the pool.  When we went to Sam Yoders to here Jeff and Sherri Easter Austin asked her to sing Been There Done That.  So Sherri got up on stage and said their was this cute little boy and he asked me to sing Been There Done That and Jeff Easter said where is he, So Austin waved his had and they told him to come up on stage to sing it with them so he did. (See Picture Below).

I hope you all have a great week and I will let you know how our tip to Nashville went.  Also here are some pictures.

    Till Next Time
